Folio Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 Is there is a way to auto rotate drawings in the print window?? I'm always having trouble trying to find out how to rotate the drawings to fit the sheet in a different orientation. Quote
ReMark Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 One can print in two orientations: landscape or portrait. What else do you need? Quote
SLW210 Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 If your printer has Autorotate available. Select your printer>properties>custom properties. Quote
tzframpton Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 You can use the UCS command to rotate the Z access if from Modelspace. If from Paperspace, simply use the Rotate command for the Viewport. If you're simply meaning orientation then ReMark is correct. Quote
SLW210 Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 Auto rotate is different from rotating the geometry and selecting landscape or portrait. Auto rotate automatically selects the best orientation to suit the paper size. Quote
BIGAL Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Also if your using a plotter check out if Nesting is turned on. Quote
ReMark Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 And where would one find "nesting"? Wouldn't the user have to be running a particular piece of software to have access to "nesting"? Quote
SLW210 Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Nesting is available with some plotter drivers (usually the higher end). It would allow plotting 2+ drawings side by side (i.e. 4 Arch (ANSI) A size in a row on 36" roll or 2 Arch (ANSI) B). Our HP DJ 5500 has it and our HP DJ 500 does not. Quote
