Dadgad Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Welcome to the forum. Don't you have a DISPLAY at Startup option in the lower left corner of the SPLASH screen? Set your default QNEW template as shown in the image. If you want some more options for startup, look at the SYSTEM VARIABLES option values. Quote
ReMark Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 In AutoCAD Map 3D. To hide or display the Task Pane at startup: In the Tool-based Ribbon Workspace, click Map Setup tabMap panelangle-arrow. In the AutoCAD Map Options dialog box, click the Task Pane tab. Select Show Task Pane On Startup. I don't understand why you would want to kill off Express Tools. Do you even know what Express Tools are? Quote
Murph_map Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 When you start up for the first time close what you do not open, then saved that workspace or create a new workspace with those settings. Look at the command _wssettings, IMHO closing the map3d task pane is a no-no unless you're using MAP3D as vanilla AutoCAD. Quote
