1. Im going to learn 3D now, but when i change my autoCAD 2007 into 3D workspace , it didnt give me the 3d modelspace , but give me the common 2d modelspace, how do i change this?

2. Can i explode the 3d object so i can edit each component of it, for example i have a ball? is that thing called wiremesh?

You CAN use your 2D modelspace to work in 3D. :)

I suggest you choose an isometric perspective from your VIEWPORT CONTROLS in the upper left hand corner of your modelspace, or any viewport, for that matter, so as to afford you a much more comprehensive view of your modelspace.

In order to use the 3D workspace you would need to open a new drawing, specifying one of the 3D templates.

You can save your SOLID HISTORY as you are modeling, which makes it easy to backtrack if you need to.

Make sure that your SOLIDHIST (enter that at the commandline) variable is set to '1'.

I suggest you search on the TUTORIALS tab on this site for 3D Modeling, 3D Solids, Surface Modeling and I am sure you will find a lot of useful information.

To change the view to a 3D one, go in menu View --> 3D Views and choose one of the Isometric ones.

By exploding a 3D solid will get regions (from planar faces) and/or surfaces (from non-planar faces).

You might want to brush up on your search skills too. This website has tutorials for different versions of AutoCAD. It was found by clicking on the word LINKS at the top of this page.

Then you definitely want to get this book.....

http://www.amazon.com/Autocad-2007-Modeling-Visual-Approach/dp/1418049042/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1336747034&sr=1-1

It covers a lot of what one needs to know about 3D modeling. It is not about modeling 3D architecture however. For that you need a different book.

Here you go. AutoCAD...No Experience Required. The author takes the user through a series of 3D tutorials to construct a cabin.

The 2007 version...http://www.amazon.com/AutoCAD-2007-LT-Experience-Required/dp/0470008776

And the 2012 version.

http://www.amazon.com/AutoCAD-2012-LT-Experience-Required/dp/1118016777/ref=sr_1_22?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1336747263&sr=1-22

The author's drawing files are also available, when you purchase the book, by download from the publisher's (Sybex) website.

Dude...gotta brush up on your computer skills. You can save the PDF file right to your computer.

SaveACopyofPDF.PNG

Open the PDF online and look in the upper left hand corner for the Disk icon. Click on it to save the file to your computer. It works...I just tested it.

By the way, it is not a good idea to post one's private email address in a public forum unless you're a lover of spam and I'm not talking about the food variety either. I'd remove if I were you.

Try doing it from scratch yourself. You don't have to have the exact shapes being used to replicate the steps in the tutorial. Challenge yourself. I know you can do it. Have some faith bro!

Remove your email address from your previous post. You can send JDM a Private Message or leave him one at his Profile.

Aye thanks sir :) , done removing the email, and i tried send JDm a priv msg , but failed. Seem like his inbox is full :(

You can always leave him a Visitor Message at his Profile. Be persistent.

Chances are that since he took the time to respond previously he may well return and see that you are trying to make contact with him. Until then show some initiative and using a tutorial as your guide attempt to recreate what JDM has covered. It does not have to be an exact copy just as long as it looks similar and you can do the exercises he outlines nobody is going to care. It is for you to learn/practice new skills. Sure, you'll make mistakes but we learn as much, if not more, when we do. Now get out there and start Cadding!

For a reason - I don't want any PM here.

The document or the website explains exaclty how to request the files used with the tutorials.

(It should give you my email address and ask that you email me directly to request the files.
