Multiple BOMs in one Model - CAD2013

Hey everyone

I am running CAD 2013 (Project Suite) which integrates Inventor and a lot of those abilities...

I am creating assembly drawings (parts) in my paper space layout from a CAD .dwg model.

My problem is... I am bringing in screws and bolts etc... And designating new part references...

BUT

When I put together a drawing layout and create a BOM Parts List for each layout, it doesnt let me make a new BOM it just updates the "MAIN" one causing all my different paper space layout to update as I make changes (making them all the same and current to my most recent changes)

Question:

How do I create multiple (New) BOM's within one drawing file?

Can I?

Any help is very much appreciated...

As you can probably tell I am new to Inventor and havent had much time to expand into Inventor yet...

Thanks everyone

One assembly file = one BOM.

One drawing file = as many parts lists as you like, generated from as many BOM's as you like

You could use sub-assemblies to break out your BOMs, or you could use parts list filters to limit the view of the BOM on your drawings sheet.

If you explain a bit more about your process and what you are trying to achieve, I'll see if I can help some more...
