mikef Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 My work station was recently upgraded to Windows 7, 64 bit, it now frequently crashes Acad, usually when I am saving on exiting a drawing. sparkyuk Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 could be it dont like windows 7 64 bit did you check if it is compatable with autocad help desk ? Quote
mikef Posted May 21, 2012 Author Posted May 21, 2012 You're quite right, it doesn't list Windows 7 on the 2010 disc, but I have tried a 30 day trial of 2013 and it crashes just the same. Quote
sparkyuk Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 are you installing the 64bit version or the 32bit ? I dont have a 64 bit machine so I am not alot of help here m8 but I think it might be that you do need to install the right version Quote
sparkyuk Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 The fact you are crashing using 2 different versions means to me that its more then likely a windows 7 problem but what the problem is I cant help you with other then to try to maybe a reinstall of windows 7 might correct the problem ? If all fails go back to your old version of windows vista or what ever it was,if it still crashes then it will have to be a hardware problem. Quote
