Speaker Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Does anyone know how to modify the standard spur gear that comes with Toolbox? I'd like to enter my own values for pressure angle, pitch, etc. but I'm not sure how to do that. Thanks! Christopher Quote
fuccaro Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 I assume you are asking about Solidworks, so I moved your question here. Just post a message if it was a wrong decision. Quote
shift1313 Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 I made a few videos on modeling gears. http://www.mymlcservices.com/index.php?option=com_hwdvideoshare&task=displayresults&Itemid=595&category_id=0&pattern=spur%20gear&rpp=0&sort=0&ep=&ex= When you drag a spur gear from the toolbox into your assembly you should get a properties window on the left in your feature tree that lets you adjust all the properties of the gear that are available. sebarau Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 When i drag a component (eg a gear) from the toolbox it comes out with odd properties that makes it look like a flat disc. Same problem with other components too; I've attached a photo to make it clearer. Do i have to go through the properties of a component every time and fiddle with them until it resembles the component i want? on youtube this doesnt seem to be a problem for anyone else, they just drag and drop. Something in settings maybe? Quote
