CAD2013 Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Hello all! When I open my 3D AutoCad .dwg file in Inventor Professional, Most of the tools are not active anymore/ "3D Model" tab does disappear and practically I am not able to edit my 3D object! Please someone help me out! Thanks. Quote

JD Mather Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 You neglected the second part of my question - what Options are you using? You have left the Options on Default of opening your 3D in 2D drawing. You should immediatly recognize that as being the drawing environment rather than an ipt modeling environment. Click on the file to open and before opening click Options select Import and go through the wizard to import the 3D into 3D. You can set this to be the default in your Application Options. Quote
