rroell Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 I am currently working on an assembly and want to view it as an isometric view, but, I want to see parts behind a particular object. My question, Is there a way to change the transparency of one object without changing the effects of the other parts? I want to be able to see the front object as well as the one behind it. Quote
FernandoLucchesi Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Did you try to set VIEWPORTS? It allows you to work on a 3D drawing from multiple angles. Quote
ReMark Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 (edited) To answer your question, you cannot make just one object transparent, in AutoCAD 2008, while all other objects remain solid. This feature wasn't added until AutoCAD 2011. The Transparency option was added to the following commands in 2011: CHPROP, CHANGE, -LAYER, VPLAYER, SETBYLAYER and LIST. ReMark Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Both 3D solids are the same. Both encompass a red sphere. The transparency setting for the object on the left is "1" while the transparency setting for the object on the right is "60". The higher the number the more transparent the object. Quote
