Marktuc Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 I'm teaching myself CAD civil 3D while following a instructional DVD. I have the educational AutoCAD 2012 civil 3D version. First issue: The video shows the tool space on a palette panel on the home tab but I cannot seem to configure the home tab. I have tried placing the cursor over the ribbon and right click but only the panels that are on the home tab show up. I have done the same with the home tab. The tool space does come up when typed into the command. Second issue: The video went into explaining what the modified tab does but I do not have a modified tab and I cannot configure the tabs. Thanks for your help Quote
Dadgad Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Try right clicking in your commandline and hit OPTIONS. Open the PROFILES tab. Is AUTOCAD one of the profile names? If so select it, it sounds like you want to display toolbars which will, I believe, be the default in that profile. OR change WORKSPACE to AUTOCAD CLASSIC, if that is an available option. I am not a CIVIL user, but these may work for you. Quote
Marktuc Posted June 7, 2012 Author Posted June 7, 2012 Thank you for your reply. I tried your suggestion to no avail. Quote
BlackBox Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 Going from memory here (on iPhone), but Civil 3D requires that the Aecc* assemblies be loaded for the civil functionality to be enabled. That said, so long as you've launched C3D, and not C3D "As AutoCAD," then simply restore the Civil Workspace (hit the little gear in the bottom right). The exact name escapes me at the moment, as we use custom deployments. HTH Quote
