I am trying to design a wheel for a concept that I have in mind(futuristic). I can't seem to find the right tutorial to teach me how to do this again. I use to know AutoCAD like the back of my hand, but I am completely lost after 5 years of not using it.

Concept: Circle within a circle(should look like a oversized performance tire for a car when done).

My steps:

Start the outer circle at 20 radius, 10 thickness.

Second circle(inside of first circle) is 18 radius, 10 thickness.

This is where I can't solidify or combine the object so that it solidifies the whole design and allows me to move forward.

Help?

Type Region to make both a region

Type Subtract to subtract the inner one from the outer one

Welcome to the forum. :)

Watch this video and it should help you a lot get back on your game, it is from the Tutorials section on this site, where there is a wealth of information in video format.

Don't let the fact that it is demonstrated on 2010 throw you, these commands are available in 2007 too.
