Shinigami Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 Hi, I at work use AutoCAD Civil 3D 2010. And have some problems with surface. I create a surface and want to add contour labels, but labels must be oriented from lowest point to the highest. But it is oriented different in different places. Generally from highest to lowest point, but not always. And second problem with labels are: if I change label masking from "From Label Style" to "Contour Line Only". Some parts of contours in surface will disappear. Some times a big part of contours will disappear. I remembered one more problem in surface. In "Surface Properties" window "Analysis" tab. I add "Ranges Number:" 11, but it will add only 2 ranges. It is common problem. Thanks. Quote
bill_borec Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 In answer to your orientation question...C3D is orienting in a "readable" and parallel to the contour line. You may change the orientation to whatever you want in the style settings. I am not familiar with an orientation from lowest to highest...generally I see contour labels online and parallel to the line being identified. On your second question...I am not sure what settings you have in the style that are masking the contour... Might a linetype be creating the gaps? Or some other setting? Lastly, it looks like you need to click on the apply or is it the arrow pointing downward to send the new number of ranges to the panel below? Good Luck! Quote
Shinigami Posted June 22, 2012 Author Posted June 22, 2012 Hi, I found a solution for a first problem. In "Label Style Composer" -> Behavior -> "Orientation Reference" must be Object. And in Plan Readability -> "Plan Readable" must be false (this was true in default and here was problem). Second problem still unresolved. Here is dwg file surface.dwg And for third. I press arrow (it is marked in picture). If I write number 15 and press arrow only 2 ranges will be added, but if I write 8 only 1 range will be added. Quote
