When i draw a tangent to a circle and zoomed in i saw that the line isn't actually a tangent, in fact it doesn't touches the circle!!!! how can i fix this??????

Welcome to the forum. :)

Use the REGEN command, if it really is tangential and just looks like it isn't.

Use the TANGENT OSNAP when drawing a tangential line.

You can also access the TANGENT osnap in the SHIFT+right click contextual snap menu mid command.

Did you used Tangent Osnap mode? Probably is just a visualization problem - try to call REGEN command and see if is fixed.

ya, i used tangent osnaps, but if i zoom in in a large extent i see that the line is separate from circle... i tried using regen also bt it didn't work.......

Can you post a drawing that shows this strange behaviour?

And also the steps that you took to draw it?

Sory!!! i don't know how to publish autocad drawings here.........

STEPS:

* first of all i drew a circle, then drew a line

* by going to tan osnap i made a line tangent to a circle

*it seemed ok, but when i zoomed in a contact place in a very large extent i found that the line is separate from circle

if u don't mind , will u try these things yourself and see the result????

You can't draw a circle and then hope to draw a line tangent to it by eye.

I just tried your little exercise and my line came out perfectly tangent to the circle. Your technique is not correct. Try again.

To attach a drawing first click on the "Go Advanced" button and at the next screen click on the Paperclip icon. Browse to where your drawing is located, upload it, then attach it to your next post.

Ok!! I understood my fault!!!! instead of using RE command i used REG command........ thank u very much remark and all of u .........

So you did a REGEN of your drawing and you determined that the line does indeed touch the circle. That's good to know.

ya!!! would u mind explaining little bit in detail how to publish autocad drawings to here or any other place????

sorry!!! i am not so good in computer.......

Drawings are not published to CADTutor. A person attaches either an image (JPG, PNG or another acceptable format) or an actual drawing file (DWG) to a post. Did you read my instructions in post #10 of this thread?

Ok thanks again.... very good site liked it...
