Bill Tillman Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 We had to install a new font for a client's logo to show up in AutoCAD. I downloaded the font file, installed it for Windows XP per the instructions from the Microsoft support site. The font shows up in all the software as available and it works in everything except AutoCAD. I used it in Word, Excel, etc... printed out a page with it a 72 pts size and it looks great. But when I set the font in AutoCAD we just get a plain vanilla text. Looks nothing at all like what I printed in Word. It is a TTF and we downloaded it from a reliable source. The name of the font is Harlow Solid Italic. BTW - We're using AC2009 here. Quote
Doove Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Some good advice here: http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/AutoCAD-2009/How-do-you-add-new-fonts-to-Auto-Cad-09/td-p/2672643 Personally I would create a logo png file with the text or get your graphics guys to do so then insert that into Word, edit your title block in acad, then CTRL-C it from word and CTRL-V it into acad title block. Then you never have to worry about sending dwgs out to clients or whoever and them not having the correct font installed. Quote
