platinum home Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 I know this isnt really a CAD question but I bought a hp designjet 510 about 6 months ago. It was working great and cutting everything. Then I had a paper jamb and ever since then it doesn't cut every time. Sometimes it cuts four pages in row and then sometimes it will group 2 together. Just curious if anyone has any helpful advice for a solution. Quote
ReMark Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Have you tried reloading the drivers? It sounds like the cutter does work. It also sounds like the printer is somehow missing the signal signifying that the sheet is ready to be cut. Quote
CyberAngel Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 If you're sure the paper jam started the trouble, check the cutter for a loose scrap of paper. That would explain the problem and why it's intermittent. Quote
platinum home Posted July 5, 2012 Author Posted July 5, 2012 Is the blade replaceable? The blade is fine and no paper is stuck. I have yet to try and reinstall the drivers so hopefully that will do the trick. It just doesn't hook the cutter every once and a while. Quote
daft vader Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 You can bet a top dollar that the jam has caused this problem, will the shop you got it from not help ? and do you not have guarantee's where you live ? becuase if its not working that would be my first call do not try taking it apart your self its not worth it if something were to go wrong Quote
