PAPASMIRF Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 Autocad 2010. In the video "Kitchen Designs Series 1.1", after making a base cabinet and shelling it out to 5/8" he puts the bottom in by making another box starting from 4" up on the back left inside corner. He starts the box command at that point and it tracks him up 4" without beginning the box command. He then clicks on that point, starting the box command. How did he get 4" up from the bottom without starting the box command. Thanks for any help you can give me. Quote
ReMark Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 Maybe he used the Command Modifier called FROM. Locates a point offset from a reference point within a command. It's covered in your Help file. Quote

After starting the box command you hover over the endpoint to acquire that point, move the cursor in the direction needed while keeping the rubber band line showing, and type 4, enter, then box command continues. SandraJ Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 Once you start a command you can type "TK" to begin tracking. Click on the nearest reference point and then type in the distances you want to move (you can only go one direction at a time). In your case, click the corner in question, then drag the mouse up and type 4 and press enter. Now that your cursor is there press enter again to finish tracking and start your box. Quote
