Pmoran Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Probably a really thing and a bit of a dumb question, but I am labelling lots of cabinets on a floorplan and obviously want them numbered differently. Is there a quick way to just click each cabinet and but a sequential number on the cabinets rather than making a line of text and copying each line then changing the text later? Phil Quote
ReMark Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 There would be if you were using full AutoCAD and a custom lisp routine. Quote
ReMark Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Make a numbering block and populate with an attribute or a field. Quote
Pmoran Posted July 16, 2012 Author Posted July 16, 2012 Oh dear I have no idea what that is lol - "where's me manual??" :-) Quote
ReMark Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 I guess it is time you learned then. In this case your attribute would be the room number. After creating the block each time you insert it into your drawing you'll be prompted for the room number. Quote
Dadgad Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 You could also do the same thing with a custom MULTILEADER style, 6 of one half a dozen of the other. Quote
ReMark Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 A link to an incremental numbering macro for LT.... http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?66337-Auto-Increment-Numbering-for-AutoCAD-LT Quote
