Trisha Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 I shall change a block, and use the block editor. I will change and delete som text in a block, but when I save and goes back to the main drawing, there is some new text in the block. If I try explode the block half the block disappear. What am I doing wrong? Quote
dbroada Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 is it text or an attribute you are changing? If its text I can't help you, if its an attribute you need to type ATTSYNC to get all your blocks to update. Quote

To do this operation you need a full AutoCAD. Quote
Trisha Posted November 3, 2008 Author Posted November 3, 2008 I have acad LT:( It`s a a block with picture of a fire extinguisher. Beside the picture it`s som text telling what type of extinguisher this is. I want the delete the text, but I can`t delet it in block editor, It still shows in the drawing. And If I try to explode the block half of the picture disappear:/ Is it possible to download fire-symbol from the net? Quote
Trisha Posted November 3, 2008 Author Posted November 3, 2008 I solved the problem myself. The block had attributes. I just removed the text from the attribute and it was gone... A bit embaressed:oops: Quote
dbroada Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 glad you're sorted. At least I was on the right track. When you modify blocks any attributes on existing blocks don't get updated but new insertions will be correct. It sounds like LT doesn't have any tools to update existing blocks. Quote

Trisha Posted November 5, 2008 Author Posted November 5, 2008 Argh... I still having trouble with the blocks. I am working on a safety-plan and shall copy som blocks, showing first aid, from an old safety-plan. If I copy the block as it is everything looks fine. But I want to make the block a bit bigger before I copy it, and when I try to paste it in the new drawing it does not show? If I rezice the block with block editor in my new safety-plan every block on the drawing gets bigger get bigger. I have also tried exploding it, but then everything disappears and only some lines is left. This time the block does`nt have any attribute... Quote
