zalig Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 I try to mirror a line (spline) who is tangent to 2 circles. I need these lines to use as rails for do a loft later on. When I do this, each time the mirror image isn't exactly like the example. I putted a photo in attachment to make things clear. What am I doing wrong? (excuse for my bad Englisch) Quote

Also becaus the points of the mirror image snap to the right points, just the spline isn't right. I tried to make the spline by mirroring the points but unfortunately the result is the same. JD Mather Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 Sketch1 is unconstrained and has an extraneous point. Work Plane1 is a uneeded duplication of the XY Plane. Sketch4 is unconstrained. There are no mirrored sketch points for spline like you claim. There are no mirrored splines. Did you attach the correct file? JD Mather Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 Sketch1 is still unconstrained. Your mirror line in Sketch14 is not constrained to the origin. I would go back and read that document agian and start over. After you have given it a bit of effort I will recreate the part with the technique that I would use. Quote
