ahguter Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 (edited) Hello currently i have this shape that i can make through a series of of lofts. I would like to be able to create it using one command but i am stumped. 3D corner.dwg I have tried using the guides command on the spline but it does not like it as I assumed it would not. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Edited July 23, 2012 by ahguter wrong file uploaded Quote
JD Mather Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 ...on the spline Did you attach the correct file? Quote
ahguter Posted July 23, 2012 Author Posted July 23, 2012 Sorry I thought i had saved the current file. The new file should be attached now Quote
JD Mather Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Are you restricted to AutoCAD, or do you have access to Autodesk Inventor? Quote
nestly Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 I can't help with your specific request of doing it with a single LOFT command, but I'd probably take a different approach altogether. Perhaps loft the circular objects, then slice off the "Flats' either with the SLICE command, or simply by finding the INTERFERE(nce) between the Lofted object and a box. Both methods shown below. ahguter Posted July 24, 2012 Author Posted July 24, 2012 Wow thanks nestly looked great as always! I had to do the same thing to make the object. I just didnt know if autocad could do it in one command Quote
