Dadgad Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 If you are trying to Object Track in 3D I would suggest you enter PERSPECTIVE at the commandline and set the variable to 0. In that way you will be in Parallel view. In 2011 or 2012 3D OSNAPS were added to the program, which are what you should be using, and I would suggest an ISOMETRIC perspective, so that you can really see what you are snapping to and from. Turn off your 2D OSNAPS, as they will make it harder to use your 3D OSNAPS. You may find it helpful to turn on your DYNAMIC INPUT too. In the image you can see both the 3D OSNAP and DYNAMIC INPUT icons are circled in red. You can also turn your DYNAMIC INPUT on and off with F!2. Quote
Mena__99 Posted July 30, 2012 Author Posted July 30, 2012 iam uploading a vedio right now on youtube ... i tried that .. and it maynot seem in the vedio that otrack is not working but .. its working on x and way only but not in Z :/ ... i tried to track any point .. i can even make intersection between x and way . but nothing to z ... -.- Quote
Dadgad Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Try turning off ORTHOGONAL at the ORTHO icon at the bottom of your screen, or with F8. Quote
Dadgad Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 (edited) I suggest you change your visualstyle to 2D Wireframe, it will make it much easier. You seem, in your video to be looking for a vertical line describing the QUADRANT snap points of the circular faces along the vertical walls of the cylinder. Those do not exist along the walls of a cylinder. If you want them you will need to create a temporary construction line. Edited July 30, 2012 by Dadgad Quote
Mena__99 Posted July 30, 2012 Author Posted July 30, 2012 tried that too ... same problem .. i cant even make temerary tracking point to Z axis Quote
Mena__99 Posted July 30, 2012 Author Posted July 30, 2012 i did tried that .. but if u have seen the movie i played in the vedio before i try ... the guy in the vedio did it easly .. just toke a trace to the z axie ... why i cant ?? Quote
Dadgad Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 He is using the 3DMOVE GIZMO, from a know position which is coplanar . You should explore the use of the 3DMOVE GIZMO. There is a good video on it on this site, regarding, I believe, all of the 3D gizmos. Here is that link http://www.cadtutor.net/tutorials/autocad/3d-editing-with-grips-and-gizmos/ Quote
Dadgad Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 If you look at the highlighted areas in the image which is from the SYSVDLG (system variable dialogue) you might get some hints. Quote
Mena__99 Posted July 30, 2012 Author Posted July 30, 2012 thanks man that is great advice .. but guess what ? .. i changed the Osnapz to 1 .. then back to zero .. and when i tried again .. it worked ...!! .. it might be just a bug because it seems that i didnt change anything ... maybe there is a refresh code that can fix that easly instad crying out here all day xD .. maybe regen or regan code could fix bugs like this .. altho i remmber closing and opeing the program many times xD Quote
