ittayd
I have some text elements for a certain style that are too big. So I want to change them. I can of course use quick select and then set the height, but I'm wondering if there's a way to change the style and have it apply to all text with that style. When I try to modify the style nothing is changed in the drawing. Perhaps texts have the height override that of the style? If so, how do I set to default? Dadgad
You can select any which you wish to return to the default text height, then in your right click shortcut menu in the DIMENSION STYLE dropdown list specify the DIMENSION STYLE which you wish to apply, and it will override any deviations from the defined style, returning them to their default configurations. Or you could just select them all, instead, and do the same thing. This will return to default other settings as well, such as returning text placement to the HOME position, arrow size, etc.
Sbeth85
Adding to this old post- If I change a style in the STYLE dialogue box to have a different height, my previously written text doesn't change automatically. Isn't there a way to just click REFRESH and then everything gets updated automatically? (ps I'm talking about Text (not Multi-line and not Dimstyles, though I guess the same applies, if there's a REFRESH option). Thanks

I would just select everything on the screen, either with a crossing window or CTRL+A, then click on TEXT in my QUICK PROPERTIES and reset the height of all of them there in one fell swoop. You could change the height in PROPERTIES too, but I always have QUICK PROPERTIES open on my screen. There is a way to update your dimstyle to conform if you have made changes to the definition by using the _-dimstyle command.
