sdovey80 Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 Hi everyone, I have several hundred polylines I need to change into leaders, with no associated text, does anyone have a .lsp file which could help me out? Many Thanks Quote
sdovey80 Posted August 17, 2012 Author Posted August 17, 2012 It would be great if I could select all of the polylines at once Quote
ReMark Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 Several hundred polylines? So, every single polyline in a typical drawing will be changed to a leader? And what determines which way the arrowhead would point? No text associated with the leader? What kind of drawing is this? Can you post an image? Are all the polylines on a single layer or are they spread across many layers? Quote
sdovey80 Posted August 17, 2012 Author Posted August 17, 2012 It wouldn't be every polyline in the drawing, just on a specific layer (in this case G913_G_E_ARROWS), and ideally the arrow head would 'point' towards point 1 on the polyline. The drawing is a model which has been imported from another program (MX), and the strings which are used as arrows to help annotate the MX model are turned into Polylines when run into CAD, and we usually have to manually delete and replace these polylines with Leaders, however, the drawing I am currently working on is very large and I have over 480 polylines to replace, which would take me ages! sdovey80 Posted August 17, 2012 Author Posted August 17, 2012 It is a 2D topographical survey with annotated levels, I can try and post a picture but it is very complex Quote
Lee Mac Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 Hi sdovey80, Contact me through my site, I would be more than happy to write this application for you for a small fee. Cheers, Lee Quote
ReMark Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 We don't need a picture of the entire drawing. Pick an area on the drawing where we can see a small sample of these polylines that you want to turn into leaders. The fact that they are all on one layer is good. Are we to assume that all these polylines are the same length or do they vary? If I were you I would take Lee Mac up on his offer above ^ ^ ^. I guarantee you will not be sorry and it will be well worth the cost. LM has earned a solid reputation here and elsewhere (The Swamp) as someone who really knows his stuff.
