NBI Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Hey, on my work pc i'm missing two features i used to have: - Firstly, when i click a PL i can't see the midpoint of the line, and can't drag the line like i used to. I tried to change GRIPS, but can only choose between 0 and 1 when choosing grips. 0 being nothing visible, 1 being visible endpoints of the polylines. 2 is NOT valid options that i can choose. - I can't add a new vertex. I think the way i used to do it was to hover over the midpoint and it would suggest if i wanted to add a new vertex. If this is the case, it's obvious that if i get problem 1 fixed, problem 2 will solve itself. Anyone know how to fix this? Quote
Dadgad Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 (edited) Set your GRIPMULTIFUNCTIONAL system variable at your commandline to 3. Edited August 23, 2012 by Dadgad Quote
Tiger Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Oh thank you Dadgad! I've been annoyed by the little grip-menu that pops up and interrupts my commands all the time - now I finally know how to turn it off! Quote
Dadgad Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Always happy to help Tiger. You were the first person I ever helped on the forum. Welcome back and congratulations. Quote
NBI Posted September 10, 2012 Author Posted September 10, 2012 hey, haven't been at work for a few weeks so couldn't test it. And it appears that the "GRIPMULTIFUNCTIONAL" function does not exist in Autocad LT. Sadly. Suppose this means there is no way to work arround this. Quote
Dadgad Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 THE midpoint GRIP displayed on a LINE is not the fancy new add a vertex kind of multifunctional grip, but just a plain old non-dynamic type grip. A POLYLINE however will display the greatly improved MULTIFUNCTIONAL GRIP with ADD VERTEX and CONVERT TO ARC options. I assume that 2011LT has them, 2011 Vanilla does. But since you report that you are unable to set the GRIPMULTIFUNCTIONAL variable setting at the commandline to 3, I guess that says a mouthful. Quote
NBI Posted September 10, 2012 Author Posted September 10, 2012 http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/7210/gripu.jpg This is how my options looks like. Guess it's not really gonna work. As for the vertex i suppose i can use pledit to add a vertex instead. Could there be a way to work arround the situation where i draw a polyline rectangle of 400x50 and i realize i want to make it 400x75 instead? Atm this is what i miss most, with the limited grip function. Quote
Dadgad Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 I would really miss those too, must be lisp driven functionality, which LT doesn't support. Stretch with crossing window works, ortho turned on to keep you on track? Quote
NBI Posted September 10, 2012 Author Posted September 10, 2012 Yea that's what im doing atm. It works. It just works slowly. But hey, that's LT for you. Quote
Regulator Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 I just went through the process of figuring this out. I first checked the GRIPMULTIFUNCTIONAL variable annd it was already set to 3. My fix was the GRIPS variable. It also has to be set to 2. Quote
