netman Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 At some point back I remembered i could follow the lines of the No. 137 hatch and outline it in the directions I wanted.....Erase the hatch and be left with my outline ( blue lines in this case) . I need to hit the intersections and be very precise. I can no longer do that. Any suggestions as to how or what I am doing wrong? Did i maybe screw up some setting. I tried SNAP Intersection and Snap Apparent Intersection...no luck. no.137 follow the hatch lines.dwg Quote
ReMark Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 You seem to have your share of problems. Options > Drafting tab. Look under Object Snap Options. Turn off Ignore hatch objects. Quote
netman Posted August 26, 2012 Author Posted August 26, 2012 (edited) Thank you. Its not so much problems, its more like questions. On weekends is when I take the time to work on projects and this came up. I guess its why the administrators called the forum CAD TUTOR.... for folks like me who are mostly ignorant of the detailed workings of AC to get tutored by folks like you that are so well versed. Thank you again.I am always appreciative. Edited August 26, 2012 by netman Quote
Dadgad Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 I recall a few months back you really didn't have a clue, seems that you are making good headway, and moving right along. Too bad you are limited to 2D thus far, as you would enjoy 3D. You ought to go ahead and download a 30 day freetrial, nothing to lose, so you hit the ground running when the budget allows. Keep on asking. As we like to say at CADTutor ....... No problems, just solutions! Quote
netman Posted August 26, 2012 Author Posted August 26, 2012 Ice tea is more like it..... Yes, I am looking forward to trying the Full version. I just want to be able to have enough time to dedicate to learning it by taking classes in town. So far, the LT is giving me good results. There will come a time when I will want the 3D and even the animation that 3D max offers. Once again, I need to be able to commit not just funds but time to learn it. Right now we are so short handed I am working two shifts trying to get gear out. Anyway, thank you and all the others that "Tutor". My customers are always commenting on how professional my bids and instructional papers are...they forget right away how small of a business we really are. ha ha ! one more check on TS ISAAC and then I'll shut it down for the night. What irony....a big ol' storm like that coming almost on the anniversary of Katrina. See ya'll around.......... Quote
rkent Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 You should be able to pick on the hatch, right click, pick generate boundary, done. It works here on 2013 full version but I think it has been in earlier releases, hopefully in LT as well. Quote
netman Posted August 26, 2012 Author Posted August 26, 2012 Thank you RK, I did not find that in LT.... I might not be looking in the right place. The method Remark showed ,works just fine for me though. THIS is what i use that proceedure for................ SAMPLE USE OF HATCH DEFINED FOR REPAIR.07.12.dwg Thank you anyway see you all after ISAAC Quote
