IronHorse Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 I try to make animation in Inventor studio, I have understood most things but how do i make rotation or revolution of some component. Have tried for hours but no sucess?? The two fields are dimmed out cant give any value. Quote
kencaz Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Usually it involves animating an angular constraint. Do you have any angular constraints in the assembly? Upload screenshot or assembly with part files... Quote
IronHorse Posted September 1, 2012 Author Posted September 1, 2012 Usually it involves animating an angular constraint. Do you have any angular constraints in the assembly? Must I create angular constrain to make rotation happen? Quote
JD Mather Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Have you gone through the Inventor Tutorials http://wikihelp.autodesk.com/Inventor/enu/2013/Help/0126-Tutorial126/0127-Inventor127/0434-Studio_-434/0435-About_th435 Either unground and use assembly cosntraints then Animate Constraint or unground assembly and Animate component and click on the triad icon. Must I create angular constrain to makerotation happen? When you create an assembly from a multi-body solid, there are no actual constraints set up initially, the parts are just grounded. (Note: they're not grounded relative to each other, they're just grounded at that point in space, period.) If you want them to move or whatever, then yes - you need to un-ground at least one piece and set up constraints. Quote
