nocturne00 Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 OSNAP is not a command, its a drafting support tool w/c one could wonder what would have happened to CAD without it... thats how important the role of OSNAP is Quote
Noahma Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 role of osnap commands to prepare a drawing? one word "Essential" Quote
BOB'27T Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Without it, you'll never be able to make an accurate drawing, period. Quote
ReMark Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Imagine if you will trying to draw a line from the midpoint of another. Without Osnap you would have to calculate the midpoint first then keep zooming in as tight as possible to click exactly at that point. Why don't you try it now? We'll wait. Let us know how well it went. Quote
Enfiel3D Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 role of osnap commands to prepare a drawing? To create a situation where you put your primitives or dimensions exactly where they should lie. Ultimately, to make your computer work for you while you are only issuing orders. Quote
CADguy209 Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 So that you dont have to go back to the days of swinging lines from your compass and transfering distances with your divider...lol.... Anyways, its all about acuracy and being able to draw/model in a computer environment whatever it is that you are manufacturing. Quote
Tankman Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Without snap, back to the boards. Snap is essential to any CAD program. Quote
