Looking for free tutorials for AutoCAD LT 2007

Hello... I am have been scouring the Internet looking for any free tutorials for AutoCAD LT 2007.

I have found one for 2006, but it's not LT. Would this be a good enough match?

 

The problem is that all the good tutorials are for later versions or not the LT so I can't follow their instruction properly as the school only has the 2007 LT version (only working with 2D)

This doesn't help with the fact that your school is using ancient (in computer terms) and limited (LT) software, but if you have your own personal computer - students can get the latest Autodesk products for free here http://www.autodesk.com/edcommunity

Thank you for your response and the link. I should fess up and reveal that I'm actually a parent of a student who's trying to get a great mark (she wants to get into animation), but the teacher of the program, I'm afraid doesn't instruct as much as he/she leaves them to their own devices. I found a great tutorial for her to follow but was disappointed to discover that it didn't help because the school version was so old that she couldn't follow along. I'd like to mention your link to the teacher but I'm afraid of any backlash it could cause my daughter if the teacher gets defensive (*sigh*). I did manage to find her a good document which I'll try to attach in case it's helpful for someone else who reads this thread.

What class is this where AutoCAD LT is being used? Certainly not an illustration or graphic arts class.

 

There is another direction the school/teacher and your daughter can take and that is to download the FREE 2D version of DraftsSight which is really an AutoCAD clone. The latest version is on par with AutoCAD 2010 in many respects except 3D which shouldn't be a problem for the school since AutoCAD LT does not do 3D either. Did I mention it was FREE. DraftSight is from dassault systemes and can be found here...http://www.3ds.com/products/draftsight/overview/ and there is even a FREE 186 page guide available as well. Take the teacher aside and mention it to him and you'll be the hero.

The books for 2007 are cheap and I have always thought Terry Wohlers' books were especially good for self guided study. The one below is $0.99. LT has fewer features but for the beginner I don't there will be too many problems using the regular to learn LT.

Thanks to you both for your replies. The links are very helpful and I'm sure she will get a good start with those. I'm going to look into the book as well, as it might be a good reference for her to mark with stickies and such.

It's only a high school class (Technological Design) but it's an important one for her to do well in for college admission. I can't believe how poor our education system is that we can't afford the best tools for our kids. I'm in Canada, by the way and she attends a rural school. They really do try their best to offer what they can....I can only blame the government for not ensuring there's enough money in the classroom. In saying that though, I'm sure my daughter will take away a lot learning the 2007. It's important to have the basics mastered.

The same, and in some case worse, can be said about many schools here in the United States. I think we're having a "race to the bottom".
