TxTony Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 I've been away from CAD for years and I'm completely lost. I'm trying to change the size of a rectangle wall and I'm looking for "lenght" and "width" buttons in the properties manager box and can't figure it out. I thought I could just key in the new size after extablishing an anchor point. I've tried lenthen and extend. But the object is a closed polyline and what I'm doing is not working. Not having much luck with the key-grips either. The wall is 47'2" and I want it to be 46' 8". Any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you Tony Quote
rkent Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Use Dimensional constraints, apply a linear dim, then type in the value you want, be sure to acquire the middle of the lines that describe the wall thickness rather than endpoints. Quote
JD Mather Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 As noted - use dimension and geometry constraints or Ctrl select multiple points. Quote
ReMark Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 If this were being done as 2D a dynamic rectangle block where one uses a single corner grip for resizing would work too. Quote
