KarolR Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 How to add hebrew fonts, where is their location and type? Can i use Autocads fonts? Quote
ReMark Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Saw this at the CADforum. I assume you would just add the SHX fonts to your AutoCAD font folder. TTF (TrueType) fonts typically need to be installed. The procedure varies with the OS. You will need a Hebrew TTF or SHX font for AutoCAD - e.g. Hebrew.shx, Hebtxt.shx, Htxt.shx, Michal.shx, Miry.shx, Sivan.shx. Hebrew SHX fonts can be downloaded from www.cadstudio.cz/download. Quote
KarolR Posted September 11, 2012 Author Posted September 11, 2012 yes, but i need it for Inventor 2009 Quote
ReMark Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 That unfortunately doesn't mean much to me. What fonts are used by Inventor? The ones that come with Windows? If that is the case you are looking for TTF fonts not SHX. Quote
Bishop Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Inventor should just use the fonts installed for Windows. Isn't there a Hebrew font that ships with Windows? Could have sworn there was. Quote
Sbeth85 Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Why is it that I've put all sorts of hebrew SHX fonts in my AutoCAD2014 fonts folder, and yet they're not working when I try to use them? Some show as question marks, others just show as... blank. Any ideas? Quote
ReMark Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Might depend on the OS. Might depend on exactly which folder the fonts are located in too. Can't say for sure. Quote
Bishop Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Ah, one other thing to note is that Inventor will only use TTF's, not OpenType or anything else. Found that one out the hard way recently ... Also, Sbeth - this is the Inventor forum, not AutoCAD. Quote
Sbeth85 Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 oh, thanks Bishop ReMark- Win8, standard Fonts forum for Autocad: C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2014\Fonts Quote
ReMark Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Since they are TTF's I be more inclined to install them as per Microsoft's instructions. Just dragging/dropping them in the AutoCAD fonts folder won't work as far as I know. http://www.microsoft.com/typography/TrueTypeInstall.mspx Quote
