bernardino Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 How do i make a thebes stool in autocad 2008? Quote
nocturne00 Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Create 2 SPHERES, the larger is with the outer radius of the stool, one smaller than the other in order to make a shell off the larger sphere to create the thickness of the stool. next make a square with the dimensions of the stool(the violet cube in the drawing), position it at the center of the sphere shell then use INTERSECT on the 2 solids. VOILA. Thats just one method, ,maybe someone will post his own routine. Quote
nocturne00 Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Im sure youll be able to manage the legs and web supports of the stool. Quote
shift1313 Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 you can also make the stool by using 4 arcs or 4 splines and doing an edge surface(edgesurf) between them. Nocturnes method is perfect if you need a solid and its a perfect sphere. Are you just drawing a representatio nof this? or are you trying to acurately model it? Quote

shift1313 Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 i just want to note that if you are going to be doing solid editing i would draw it the way nocturne showed you above. but i agree, draw it both as a solid model and surface model to show the empolyer you can find multiple solutions Quote
