blackwater_hollow Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 (edited) Hey guys and gals! I am having some serious issues with model dinosaur container that I am building! I am attempting to create a .125" lip around the dinosaur, but am having issues with the offset sketch, which is not letting me trim the excess splines around the tail to make a clean intersection with the other splines. Please see the attached three images! I have outlined in red the area of issue! This is probably a amateur mistake... seeing that I am self taught because my school does not offer any courses with Autodesk Inventor. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! DaleLloyd7569 Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Hi I think you probably need to untick the loop select option when you select offset (after selecting offset right click to bring up the menu). Then offset the problem areas separate from the rest, this should then allow you to trim the bits that don't quite work. I hope this is clear enough. Quote
