RickyCole
Hi there, I have been given a cad survey of a friends piece of land and the house that is yet to be built. The house and land are orientated at the angle they actually are. I was wondering how to adjust the plans angle so that I can work on it using straight lines etc as I would if I was to start the drawing from scratch? Cheers

Cheers type UCSFOLLOW and set it to 1 then, type UCS 3, select your origin point, your X and Y coordinates then press enter to go back to the original orientation, type UCS > World Edited September 28, 2012 by nod684 X and Y not X and Z sorry... eldon
Perhaps X-ref the survey into a new drawing. Then you could rotate the survey drawing to suit, and possibly scale it up by 1000 (my experience being that surveys usually have metre units, whereas house designers like to use millimetre units)
ReMark
Or...you could leave the survey just as it is and adjust your crosshairs to match using the SNAPANG command. When done reset SNAPANG to "0".
BIGAL
Simplest UCS Ob pick a line for your x axis then PLAN all done! A word of caution though using UCS make sure line is only 2d. We do UCS S myworld, save new UCS, at any time you like just UCS W plan back to where you started, UCS R myworld plan and so on. We do this every day with survey plans so never lose real world co-ordinates.
Dana W
Or...you could leave the survey just as it is and adjust your crosshairs to match using the SNAPANG command. When done reset SNAPANG to "0". Then you'd need to take the wheels off one side of your chair, right?
