gste
We received files from the civil engineer that seem to require two different shape files (HJWSHP.shx, and AEC somthing.shx). Any time we open the Drawings we are getting prompted for these files, it seems seperately for each x-ref, so there are multiple prompts for each of these files. Every time we open our files we have to "cancel, cancel, cancel, cancel, cancel..." ten times before we can get started on the Drawings. We have been having problems getting these shx-files from them, so I am wondering whether there is a trick to circumvent the prompts. Ideas anyone? Any thoughts are appreciated. cpriedel
I know there is a routine out there that purges the Cad file form missing .SHX files. If i remember correctly its called DELSHAPE. Never used it though and not sure if purging them form ur CAD File is what you wanna do. Hope you will get other suggestions too.
Tiger
I've had some luck with Purge/Audit on the files to remove non-existing SHX-files - but it's not 100%.
