jnarango Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Hi- I have been working on a design for a while now and started working off of a topo received in august. Well I have everything set up in my drawings including pipe networks, profiles, corridors volume surfaces, the works! And I have just received a revised topo from the surveyors. I was wondering if there was an easy way to change out the old surface for the new one and have everything in my design reference that new topo without having to redo everything. BTW, I have the old surface referenced in as a data shortcut. Quote
CyberAngel Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 As far as I know, the shortcut wouldn't register that the surface has changed, it just tells the current drawing where to get it. If you replace the drawing that contains the old surface with one that contains the new surface, using the same names for the drawing and the surface, you should be able to use it. Maybe you've tried that already, and it doesn't work. You could erase the definition of the old surface--while keeping the surface itself--and paste the new surface data over it. That way you don't lose all the references to the surface. Quote
