3rdElle Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 This software was once downloaded to my computer and automatically appeared inside of AutoCAD, so when I typed in "spurge" in the command line, it executed. I had to re-install ALL of my software recently and NOW when I go to download this software, it installs it, but is no longer attached to AutoCAD??? Can you please provide steps or the know-how for installing "Super Purge" to use in AutoCAD? THANKS IN ADVANCE Quote
MSasu Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Sound like it had a kind of installer - if you didn't saved a copy on your station, then you need to locate it again on Internet. By any chance, did you made a backup copy of the folder were it was installed? Quote
rkent Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 The upgrade is free, I am not sure the program is free if you didn't already own it. If you go through the install then it is loaded for you. Then go to Windows Programs and find Superpurge, pick on the help file and follow the instructions for finishing the loading. Quote
ReMark Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 (edited) SuperPurge2 (shareware version) is available as a 30-day trial. It is fully functional. The cost for a single user license is $30. Available at: http://www.manusoft.com/software/superpurge.html#Download SP2 now supports AuoCAD 2013. Edited October 11, 2012 by ReMark Quote
ReMark Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 When you clicked on the .exe file did a window come up that looked similar to this? If you click on the button "Display ReadMe..." you'll find the instructions for installing SuperPurge. Quote
ReMark Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 The instructions are as follows: ** How to install it ** 1. Run the self-extracting installation file. Select the installation folder and install the SuperPurge files. 2. Select the AutoCAD installation(s) in which you wish to use SuperPurge. Setup will add keys to the registry so that SuperPurge initializes when you start AutoCAD.* 3. Start AutoCAD to initialize the SuperPurge software. 4. Check the on-line help for complete documentation. *AutoCAD R13 Note: After completing the installation, R13 users must start AutoCAD, then use the ARX command's 'Load' option to manually load R13Setup.arx from the SuperPurge directory to setup the demand loading feature. This manual step only needs to be performed once. Quote

ReMark Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 They must be experiencing technical problems. Wait a while then try again. I'd upload a version I have from 2012 but it exceeds the file size limits. Sorry. Quote

dmtdaytona Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Thanks Rkent but it seems like it's only for 2015. I'm on 2008 and my colleagues are on 2012. This linetype issue is infesting our drawings and jamming them up when we try to copy and paste material. It's beyond frustrating and we cannot get jobs out in time. thanks again, Quote
