ReMark Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 This type of flexible s.s. braided hose was the topic of a thread earlier this year I believe. You might try searching for the thread. I know it did not deal with making the hose using ProE however. Most likely the discussion centered around Inventor and AutoCAD. I'm assuming we are talking 3D right? Will there be a quick disconnect at each end? Quote
manjinder Posted October 11, 2012 Author Posted October 11, 2012 yes i already find that thread ......but i dont get exact idea from that .......But i am using proe 5.0.........So please let me how i can work on proe to make this hose.l....... Quote

ReMark Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Refresh my memory. What was the idea? I thought the easiest way to do it would involve applying a material (s.s. braid) to a 3D hose then render it. Quote
manjinder Posted October 11, 2012 Author Posted October 11, 2012 i am new to inventor ...can u tell me where i find ss braid ....and after that how can apply to hose Quote
ReMark Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 JD Mather said in the thread you are referring to.... "In Inventor we would use a cosmetic texture (material) applied to the sweep. Looks like the real thing without the overhead of modeled geometry. Then use shaded view (not rendered - shaded)." I suggest you follow his suggestion if you are going to do it in Inventor. Quote
manjinder Posted October 11, 2012 Author Posted October 11, 2012 i got little bit idea how to work on ......is anyway can you send some video or anything like so it would be great help of all this procedure.........i would be really thankful if help me in this like that.....i am too new in this ...... ReMark Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 1. I do not use Inventor. 2. I don't make videos. How much experience with ProE do you have? How much experience with Inventor do you have? Quote

ReMark Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Go back to that other thread and look at post #14 on page 2 by SEANT. I think that is your best bet for creating a braided hose. There is a PDF and a ZIP file attached to the post. Quote
manjinder Posted October 11, 2012 Author Posted October 11, 2012 i worked 6 months on proe in school.....and worked in company duriing internship for around 3 months .....i just joined a compant...they have both inventor and proe........so thats why i need help in this....... Quote
ReMark Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 This was Pocket's answer on the previous page of this thread: "Extrude a circle the path of the hose then render the hose with a pic of the braided pattern." I suggest you follow his advice. Quote
ReMark Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 There are a few forum members who use Inventor and might be able to help you but you will just have to be patient as this is an all volunteer site. Eventually someone will come along, see your thread, and respond. Quote
manjinder Posted October 11, 2012 Author Posted October 11, 2012 okay i try to do it like that.......but if you have any file you can send me...please do it ...it would be a grt help Quote
ReMark Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 A file of what? You do know how to create a hollow cylinder in 3D don't you? Quote
JD Mather Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Hello I am working on the same project ... Are you really using AutoCAD LT? Quote
ReMark Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 No, he is not. The OP has a limited background (6 months) of using Pro-E and some minor experience with Inventor I believe. See also this thread. http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?73408-3-d-hose Quote
SLW210 Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Moved to Autodesk Inventor forum for you and merged your posts from the other thread. Quote
