Extrude perpendicular to a bent surface

I want to extrude 3D sketch 3 perpendicular to the cone, but i cannot select it, and if i select the base sketch, sketch 2, it extrudes right up or down.

You can't extrude a 3D sketch at all.

 

Make your 3D sketch into surfaces, then extrude a 2D sketch between the surface and the cone.

Sounds like you are going about this the hard way.

no, i didn't want it this way, i wanted the cut to be perpendicular to the cone face.

Extrude cuts through in a vertical way, perpendicular to the 2D sketch.

I want to make what you did in tip no' 39, you can see there how it's supposed to be.

That was made with an Extrude - Cut of the U shaped sketch as shown below.

Other alternatives are Split Face with your sketch and then Thicken(Offset) - Cut.

By the way, the split face and split entire part options on the split command yield the same result here, why?
