Casio47 Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Hello all, when ever I enter pedit command, and I move into model space to select polylines to join, my curser/pointer disappears? I can not select any lines because I no longer have the little square box to select lines showing. I have nothing at all. When I move out of model space, my white select arrow reappears? What am I doing wrong? Thanks Quote
MSasu Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 I'm not sure that can follow your explanation. Are you saying that you call the PEDIT command while in Paper Space and after switch to Model Space to select the items to edit? How are you doing the switch? This action should end the PEDIT command and therefore this is the reason to don't see anymore the selection cursor prompter. The end of command must have been notified in command line too (press to see more). This is because the switch between tabs isn't a transparent action (that it, one that can be called while in the middle of a draw/edit command). May also help to fill the software/version you use in your profile to help us refine the answer. In short, to edit polylines located in Model Space, then first switch to that tab and only after issue the said edit command. Quote
Dadgad Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 What is your PICKBOX setting? Might it be 0? What is your PICKFIRST setting? If you type those variable names at the commandline and then press ENTER, you will get a numeric response, which is the current system variable setting. Is the PEDIT command the only command which exhibits this problem? Why are you starting the command in PAPERSPACE, if you want to use it in MODELSPACE? Well said Mircea, I heartily concur with your assessment. Quote
Casio47 Posted October 21, 2012 Author Posted October 21, 2012 Hello All, thanks for the response. Actually, I wrote the post confusing concerning "move into model space" I am already in model space. What I really meant, Is when my select arrow tool is up in the toolbar area, and I move the select tool into model space to select a line from the pedit command, the select tool disappears, It should be showing a small white box so I can select lines to join, but the little white box is not there...nothing is there, so I can not select anything. Hope that makes better sense. Thanks for the help Quote
Dana W Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Is it only the pedit command in which this happens? Is your crosshair the same color as your background? Quote

Casio47 Posted October 21, 2012 Author Posted October 21, 2012 Umm...I don't know what I did, if any thing...but it's working. I did threaten to pull some memory cards and sale them on ebay though. Quote

That shows how great CADTutor forum really is! So great that once your bugs know you are talking to the A Team, they acquiesce and decide to behave. Either that or a primordial fear of EBAY tips the behavioral scale from miscreant to model macro and unquestioning OP wish conformity. Or might it have been Daisy's Mona Lisa-esque come hither glance and unflinching countenance? Quote
