When I open the drawing the hatch transparency is set to 0% so I manually set it to 75% save and then close. When I open the drawing again the transparency is back at 0%.

I have AutoCAD 2013 w/SP1.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Is the transparency in fact set back to 0% (in the properties palette), or is the TRANSPARENCYDISPLAY system variable simply set to 0 (off; 1 = on) by something in your AcadDoc.lsp...?

Try switching profiles and do it again. Then test. What happens?

I have solved it, this has affected me before on something else (rendering issue). I always save my drawings down at Release 14 format for sharing and I guess this transparency feature wasn’t available then?

I have now saved as 2013 and all is ok, I guess I could go down a few revisions.

What revision do you guys save at?

Bob

BTW: TRANSPARENCYDISPLAY was set at 1

I would guess that should read "version" instead of "revision".

My two cents: If you share the drawings with others that have different versions of AutoCAD, then must save them to the oldest version used in that group. If not, then go with the latest version to benefit from all new added features.

Yes sorry version.

Thanks for all your help.

The furthest back I've saved down to is 2000. and it was for someone here at CADTutor. In work I think I've gone back only as far as 2007.
