Casio47 Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Why is it when I increase the lineweight, on the current layer, to a thicker lineweight from the default .25mm, it remains the same thickness/weight? I can change everything else, style, color, but not the weight. I need it to be a thick line, instead of the normal thin line. Thanks AutoCAD 2010 Quote
danellis Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Generally AutoCAD doesn't show lineweight on screen because it's easier to work without them showing. If you look at the options switches (buttons) down the bottom of the screen, one of them is LWT. that will toggle displaying lineweights on and off. dJE Quote
ReMark Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 A lineweight of .25mm is not going to show up on-screen in a drawing of a factory done to FULL size and having dimensions of 1330'x850' +/-. Don't you have more important things to worry about like actually populating the drawing with your blocks? Quote
Casio47 Posted October 27, 2012 Author Posted October 27, 2012 Actually the line weight thing was for actual stuff, kind of confusing going back and fourth. At any rate, I believe I figured it out by using polyline and inserting 4.0 in Global Width...I think...can't remember now. By the way, just what exactly is a block? is this the term for a picture? I thought AutoCAD has preloaded pictures like office furniture, like Visio...and probably a 100+ different programs out there. Quote
