viriato79 Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 I wouldlike to rotate the drawing in the viewport 20 degrees without routate in the model space. Is that possible? Thanks Quote
BOB'27T Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 Go to MVSETUP and it will give you the option to rotate the viewport only. Make sure the viewport is unlocked first. Thiw will not affect modelspace, only that particular layout. Quote
hotrodz0321 Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 activate the viewport so you are in modelspace... type DVIEW > enter > TWist > 20 > enter to escape Quote
nocturne00 Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 activate the viewport so you are in modelspace... type DVIEW > enter > TWist > 20 > enter to escape ill Second this one,,, after problems with MVSETUP with regards to it reseting OSNAP and PICKFIRST Variable settings when the routine isnt ended accordingly, DVIEW will better accomplish rotating of viewports. wannabe Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 So in a nutshell, can you just explain the differences. I use Align and rotate in MVSETUP myself and don't have any problems. Not really seen DTWIST before though. I mean DVIEW twist. Quote
nocturne00 Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 So in a nutshell, can you just explain the differences. I use Align and rotate in MVSETUP myself and don't have any problems. Not really seen DTWIST before though. I mean DVIEW twist. for your own personal experience, rotate a viewport using mvsetup>align. now after youve finished rotating. undo last command (ctrl+z). you'll notice your osmode settings and pickfirst variable are changed to 0. now this commonly happens when after rotating the vp a user has the vp rotated the way he/she want, so they undo, then it will be a while where the user notices what has happend to his/her osnap and pickfirst variable. this is based from my personal experince of our draftsmen coming to me complaining someone screwed their settings up, cad commands not working etc. now the difference is with dview, you dont have to worry anything about variables being changed out of your knowledge Quote
