toberino Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Does anyone know of a routine (perhaps a lisp) to move, rotate and align text with one swift command? Something like this video below. [video=youtube;M0ERlKMb-MQ] Quote
Dadgad Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 If you haven't been to Lee Mac's site before then you should check it out. The following link may be of interest to you http://www.lee-mac.com/dtcurve.html It is but one of many lisps Lee has created for text. Thanks Lee! Quote
MSasu Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 I cannot see the video you posted, but in many cases (when text entity is drawn at a tracking angle or parallel with an entity having more than one points recognized by Osnap) you can resort to the built-in ALIGN command. Quote

Thanks Lee! Been testing this one along with the dynamic one that he has made and maybe I am not figuring out the process to use to make it do what I want but so far not having any luck. I cannot see the video you posted, but in many cases (when text entity is drawn at a tracking angle or parallel with an entity having more than one points recognized by Osnap) you can resort to the built-in ALIGN command. That's weird...I can still see it on multiple computers. The align command does not offer a way to center it on two selected points. It will indeed move, rotate and align the text but it falls a little short on options. Quote
RobDraw Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Move, Copy, Rotate might do what you are looking for. Command: MOCORO. Quote

toberino Posted November 5, 2012 Author Posted November 5, 2012 So that brings another question out. Is there a alias or shortcut command for the midpoint between two points when the command has already been invoked? Quote
rkent Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Would the text already exist in the drawing or do you want to know how to rotate and center while adding text? As mentioned earlier the routines from leemac would be your best bet. Quote
toberino Posted November 5, 2012 Author Posted November 5, 2012 M2P or Shift+right click menu. Sweet, M2P is what I was looking for. Thank you. Now if I could find a way to shrten this up. Quote
