sirsebast Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Hi I need help when I apply the function txtexp and do it on text the letter go small and go everywhere:cry: Quote
MSasu Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Can you post the drawing here? Just strip out everything except the trouble-maker text entity (before explode, for sure). Quote
JD Mather Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Is the text on the same plane as the current UCS? Quote
Faouweb Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Try with Arial Black and Single line text. Quote
sirsebast Posted November 5, 2012 Author Posted November 5, 2012 Here the dwg file I use autocad 2013 sp 1.1 and it's work great on autocad 2012:o example.dwg Quote
ReMark Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Not sure how this so-called "text" was created but I was able to explode it down to simple lines using AutoCAD 2013 and a combination of the Text Explode and regular Explode commands. Quote
sirsebast Posted November 5, 2012 Author Posted November 5, 2012 I create arc aligned text after I explode and it's come letter by letter and after I use explode text but the letter doesn't stay at the same place. exampleb.dwg Quote
ReMark Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 I had no such problem. Everything stayed in place. After exploding I had 103 objects. Quote
ReMark Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Here is your text fully exploded. Saved in 2000 file format. ExplodedText.dwg Quote
ReMark Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 What could affect this I'm not sure what you are asking. Did you open and look at the drawing I attached in post #9? Quote
JD Mather Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 What could affect this I could be wrong, but I don't think earlier releases supported txtexp of arcalignedtext Quote
ReMark Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Tested using 2007 and the Standard font. Use the regular Explode command on the arc aligned text. This should result in individual letters. Then use the Text Explode command (Express Tools) on each letter. The result should be lines, polylines and arcs. Quote
sirsebast Posted November 8, 2012 Author Posted November 8, 2012 I'm not sure what you are asking. Did you open and look at the drawing I attached in post #9? Yes I open the drawing you have post but when I try to make the same of you it doesn't work Quote
ReMark Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 (edited) I made it work in your example.dwg you posted previously using AutoCAD 2007. Just a few minutes ago I repeated the procedure. So, bottom line, if I can do it then you can too. It is a multi-step process though. One command isn't going to do it. It is going to take both the Explode and the Text Explode commands because you have both Text objects and Arc Aligned Text objects. You have to know which ones you are dealing with to know which command to use. Arc Aligned Text has to first be exploded to text. Use the Explode command to do this. Text can be reduced to polylines using the Text Explode command. It can be further reduced to lines using the Explode command. Once you have exploded your Arc Aligned Text, to regular text, use the Text Explode command to reduce the entity to polylines then use the Explode command a second time to reduce the polylines to lines. Now it is your turn. I think you can do it. Have some faith in yourself and follow the sequence I have outlined. The end result should net you 103 entities all of which should be lines.
