WERDNA Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Hi, I created a block from a block using save as in block editor, however, when I try to insert the block it is telling me it is ''undefined block #-1'' , what is the best way to fix this? Quote
ReMark Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 I can't reproduce the problem. Can you step me through it? I think you have a corrupted drawing file. Did you run an Audit? Quote
WERDNA Posted November 6, 2012 Author Posted November 6, 2012 Hi, I created a very simple reference block (letter inside a circle) from an existing reference block using save as in block editor, however, when I try to insert the block it just disappears and the commend line is reading ** Undefined block #-1. The odd thing is the block I used to create it, inserts fine. Quote
ReMark Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Sorry, can't do it. When I use Save As in the Block Editor I'm prompted for the name of the file and it is then saved as a drawing. I can then insert the drawing just fine (as a block). You have a corrupted drawing. Do an Audit. Quote
WERDNA Posted November 7, 2012 Author Posted November 7, 2012 The file is indeed corrupt. The perpetrator is an x-ref that has been recently overlaid, the x-ref is a dwg file that was exported from solid edge. Thanks for the response. Quote
ReMark Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I'm glad to see you heeded my advice. You're entirely welcomed. Quote
