samifox Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 hi usingacasd 2010 inmy company we get drawing from others , most of the time we need to use the CTBto gray out others plane and emphasize our drawing on top of it., everything isgrayed out as expected but hatches and poliline which have big "global weight"property will still appear emphasize. i tried to screen out 50 percent of thepen , it effects the hatch but also the other vectors so they can be hardlyseen. howcan i have hatches and global weight poliline grayed out like all othervectors? Thanks Shay Quote
ReMark Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 There is no way to toggle off the lineweight the hatch patterns are displaying with? Maybe I answered my own question. Yes...via Show/Hide Lineweight toggle. Quote
samifox Posted November 7, 2012 Author Posted November 7, 2012 no way. hatches everithing that is solid is not responding to CTB (a part of screening) Quote
ReMark Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I'm sorry, I thought we were talking about what is on your screen. You want to screen the hatches when it comes time to print. Quote
samifox Posted November 7, 2012 Author Posted November 7, 2012 yes all lines are responding to my setting on the CTB apart the hatches and solids, why is that? Quote
ReMark Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I don't exactly know. I did a quick test and got good results with a 50% screening of a hatch pattern included as an xref in a drawing where lineweight was shown. When I tried adjusting it up or down it failed. Not sure why. Quote
samifox Posted November 7, 2012 Author Posted November 7, 2012 screening is working but it doesn't depress lines and solids the same amount. i can solve it by assigning another pan to all solids and screen that pan. it should work.but it's only a workaround Quote
RobDraw Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 That sounds like normal behavior. Solids, ploylines, and dense hatches will appear heavier than lines, etc. Quote
SLW210 Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 I use transparency to adjust hatches, just make sure Plot Transparency is checked when plotting. Quote
samifox Posted November 8, 2012 Author Posted November 8, 2012 How exactly you set transparency to hatches? Quote
