resullins Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 My boss has finally decided to give in and buy a half-size plotter for my little home office. The largest size I would need to plot would be 48x36 half size (so 18x24). I would need color, though most of the time I would be printing black and white. I am running Windows 7, 64 bit. I've previously used HP products, and like them. Does anyone have any decent recommendations? There are so many options, I not really sure what the differences are. Quote
BIGAL Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Didn't know you could buy 1/2 size plotters thought sizes were metric A4 A3 A1 A0, 11x7 11x16 24x36 36x48 Canon did a bubble jet years ago that did undersize A2 330x294 I know I have one. Quote
SLW210 Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 You can get wide format 17" x 22" (ANSI C) or wide format 24" which will do the 18" x 24" (ARCH C), which usually runs the same price anyway. I'm partial to HP myself, more common and easier to find a repair shop, my second choice would be Canon or OCE. Quote
resullins Posted November 8, 2012 Author Posted November 8, 2012 @SLW: Yeah, I'm looking at a 24"... just in case I get an architect that prefers 24x48... And I think my boss has decided on this one: http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en/sm/WF25a/18972-18972-3328061-12600-3328078-5053926.html?dnr=1 which seems to want to do everything I want. Ethernet, 160 gigs memory, holds a 5.something" roll.... Quote
