TECHS Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 I want to start a new drawing, pick a sheet size, and answer questions so my title block is populated for me. I don't know what kind of tutorial I need to get me going in the right direction. I have a drawing template, but things get overlooked sometimes. I figure if you are prompted for certain info, like the client's name and drawn by then that's one less mistake out the door. Quote
MSasu Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 If you want to re-use information from other areas of the drawing, then look for FIELD command. If a truly automation is what you were looking for, then should check the customization solutions provided: AutoLISP, .Net and ARX. This will allow you to show a dialog box to the user, gather project features and insert the filled title block. And this may be just the beginning... The above answers refer to AutoCAD; since you didn't stated the CAD software you use, neither the version, both may be useless. And, last but not least, welcome to the Forum! Quote
TECHS Posted November 8, 2012 Author Posted November 8, 2012 Thanks for the info. I am actually using intellicad 6, and after digging through the help I found the Attribute Definition command. I think that will work for what I need at the moment. Quote
