How to control line thickness

In the border of a drawing, i want to make the lines thinner.

In Autocad there were layers, and here, also, when i right click the line and choose Properties, i see the Bylayer property. that dialog also enables me to change weight.

On which layer is that line? how can i change the line's layer?

Is the option to change weight of the line the only one?

You can change it in the styles editor under the manage tab.

For drawing borders I don't think you want to use Styles Editor as suggested.

Simply right click on the lines and select Properties and set to desired lineweight.

Do this once in your template and then its done.
