sksmacy22 Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 uh... Can history be traced or viewed after saving the file? Quote
MSasu Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 On the history of commands only a limited amount of information is stored, if I remember right is about 400 lines; that means commands and their options along user input. To show the text window press as instructed above; if you will do a right-click on command line there is the option to copy stored history into Clipboard. However if "saving the file" assume that the drawing file was also closed, then I’m afraid there is no solution to restore the said history. Quote
Pietari Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 I think the topic starter is looking for a "handcrafted" program (as in Lisp or such) wich will store any printed comment on the textwindow (commands, user input etc.) in a *.txt file wich will be stored in the same folder as the drawing itselfs. This way, after a period of time the user is able to track back who was in the drawing and what has happened. For the right help I'd advice to go to the lisp section of ths forum. There are great minds who may help you out. On the other hand; I believe the amount of info stored in the textfile will be so much that you may not get the desired results. Maybe you cab specify in the lisp orum what you are looking for in detail. So the textfile will only store that what you want to keep track of. Maybe who opened / saved / when ... Hope to help you this way. Quote
soul79 Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 What I would like to know is all old command histories of the old drawing that someone had drawn. I'd already tried to do History command at here. But, while I use it, it takes time to display. Can I get old command histories list of the drawing except these ways? Something else? Quote
ReMark Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 I have the following questions. 1. I'm curious as to what value one would place on such information and would a history be made for every single drawing a person works on? 2. Who is actually going to read through all that and how often are they going to do it? 3. What is the cost benefit of doing this? Quote

Thanks for your reply dude. Quote
MSasu Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 From what I understood from the description of the aforementioned tool it will hide the content of the drawing and next show the entities one by one in the order they were created. But this will give no information on the techniques used (Osnap, Tracking, etc.) nor the editing operations (move, copy, trim, etc.). So, really not sure how helpful will be. Quote
ReMark Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 If I gave you an object to draw and asked you to draw it once each day for three days in a row would you do it exactly the same each time? Quote
JD Mather Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 I just curious how they drawn it. Is this 2D or 3D? Quote
