uuoo10levi Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 At my work we have 2 different departments that uses a different type of simplex font. My department uses the standard simplex font and the other uses a customized simplex font. I'm kinda caught in the middle. I need to make prints from the other department and its a burden to them for me to ask them to print out a drawing just because our fonts are different. Is there a way I can print their drawings with their font without it loading the standard font that's on my computer? I know that I can't through autocad but I was thinking maybe another program could. Quote
ReMark Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Get a copy of their font. Rename it so your can tell the difference at a glance between yours and theirs. Open your drawing. Go to the STYLE dialog box and substitute their font for yours. Print. Quote
uuoo10levi Posted December 12, 2012 Author Posted December 12, 2012 Ok, that's what I usually do, the problem with that is the other department doesn't want me to do that cause it can possibly mess up their dwg file. Also know as they had a person that every time they open a drawing they would save and close it so that would write over their style font. So I guess I'll just tell them they need to suck it up and print for us if they want us to take care of their drawings. Quote
uuoo10levi Posted December 12, 2012 Author Posted December 12, 2012 Is it possible to use their font in true view? Quote
ReMark Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 If you aren't saving the file then it won't mess it up. Quote
